The Ancient Trade Routes and Cross Roads of the Himalayas.
India
by Anoop Negi
Ladakh is a land of high mountain passes and one of the last vestiges of Buddhism in India. The dry arid and cold mountains exist as if in a parallel universe of deserts and vast blue lakes, numbing winds and dry air. This high altitude destination makes your mind work slowly but fast enough to appreciate the uniqueness of this land dubbed as Little Tibet by many.
You will still be an explorer here as you see the fantasmagorical and unrealistic landscapes and its inhabitants practicing their centuries old traditions and customs and living in one of the toughest terrains in the world.
