It's more fun in the Philippines.

"It's more fun in the Philippines" is the tourist slogan of this country, and we wholeheartedly agree. On a three-week tour of the southern Philippine islands my girlfriend and I experienced the simple life and warm friendliness of these people.
Deep in the island of Mindanao we spent several days with different tribes and took part in their everyday life. We were greeted by friendly faces everywhere, and we were invited to participate in dances, weddings and even sacred rituals.
Camiguin island captured us with its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere: incredible white beaches, palm trees, romantic sunsets and colorful boats. And those friendly people again!
We finished our tour on Cebu island, riding on the back of a motorbike which brought us up in the mountains where tons of vegetables are grown and where incredible markets take place every day. And then led by two young boys we crossed the island by foot, descending from the rugged mountain peaks, through the humid rainforest down to the lush green of palm trees leaning against the setting sun.
Pure romance paired with that famous Asian friendliness and authenticity!
