Experiencing Iran.

by Jo Currie , 2012

There is an old Persian proverb that proclaims “Esfahan nesf-e jahan ast” - Isfahan is half of the world, and In my few days there I only just started to delve into this world.

I spent two weeks in Iran in October 2012 and loved every minute of it.

Iran is an ancient & sophisticated culture with all the rich colours & textures of a Persian carpet. Esfahan is definitely the Jewel in the crown with its beautiful mosques, parks & bridges, but to truly experience Iran you need to venture out into the deserts & visit the many crumbling ancient places.

Perhaps the thing that stands out the most for me is the warmth & hospitality of the people I met. Don’t believe the news, Iran is one of the most fascinating & safest places I have visited.

I cant wait to go back!
