At the end of October 2009, I took out my backpack again and headed back to Africa.
It’s been almost three years since I set foot here last. After a first trip through Senegal, Mali and Mauritania in 2007, I am now in Ouagadougou - Burkina Faso's capital city.
Located in the heart of West Africa, Burkina Faso is a landlocked Sahelian country between Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana and Ivory Coast. Little affected by mass tourism, it has kept its authenticity. It's one of the the favorite places for NGO’s and other humanitarian organizations.
